My Story

Welcome to Northern Wildlife Consultants! I’m excited to work with you on your wildlife science and management needs.

I have been a professional wildlife biologist since 1996, and I have been a Certified Wildlife Biologist through The Wildlife Society (www.wildlife.org) since 2010. I have worked in the United States, Mexico, Europe, East Africa, the Middle East, and beyond on behalf of wildlife conservation, in deserts and forests, in wetlands and lakes.

I have experience designing and implementing wildlife studies and monitoring protocols for a host of different species, including moose, white-tailed deer, and other ungulates; aquatic mammals like American beavers, muskrats, and otters; gray wolves and other carnivores; and other groups of species like songbirds, bats, marsh birds, and raptors. I also have extensive experience creating

and editing manuscripts for scientific journals and technical reports, and creating popular content for lay audiences through print and online media.
